We work in partnership with our customers to keep their lawns healthy. All we ask is that you keep up with regular mowing and watering as the weather warms and clear away any leaves or debris so the grass can grow evenly. We’ll handle the rest each time we visit.

Yes, we can carry out treatments in most weather conditions. In rare cases, such as extreme wind or snow, it may not be possible to treat your lawn effectively. If that happens, we’ll let you know right away and arrange a new date that works for you.

Dark spots, green patches or a slippery surface, especially in wet weather, are the usual signs. If you notice any of these, it may be time for a moss & algae control treatment.

Look out for slippery patches, stubborn marks, weeds growing between slabs, or moss starting to spread. These are all clear signs your driveway needs attention.

Weeds spread quickly, so the first sign is simply seeing more of them appear across your lawn. They compete with your grass for water and nutrients, so you may also notice your lawn looking thin and worse for wear.

With an ongoing lawn care package, our experts can spot early signs of weed growth and deal with it quickly, helping keep your lawn healthy and ready to spend time on.

Is your lawn looking patchy or uneven in colour? Is your grass not growing as well as you would like? Or perhaps your lawn feels spongy underfoot? All of these are signs of a moss and thatch invasion on your lawn. Our experts will be able to fully assess your lawn and advise you on the best course of treatment to get your lawn healthy and thriving again.

If your lawn has uneven colour, looks dull, or is struggling to grow, moss or thatch could be the cause. These layers can sit on top of the soil and stop water, air and nutrients from reaching the roots.

Your local expert will assess your lawn for moss and thatch and recommend the most effective treatments to restore a beautifully healthy lawn.

Bare patches appearing on your lawn could signal a chafer grub or leatherjacket infestation, especially if you notice it during early summer or autumn.

Chafer grubs are usually easy to spot just a few centimetres down in the soil. Leatherjackets, however, are much harder to see. One of the best warning signs is the presence of crane flies (daddy longlegs) hovering over your lawn in late summer. These are the adult form of leatherjackets and often indicate they’re laying eggs that will hatch in September/October.

If you’re unsure, our lawn care experts can quickly confirm and advise on the right treatment before the damage spreads.

Hollow tine aeration is a treatment that all lawns should have to help them flourish and reach their full potential. Signs that an aeration treatment is long-past due include a patchy or damaged looking lawn, and waterlogging after heavy rain.

With ongoing lawn maintenance, our experts can determine the perfect time to aerate your lawn, maximising on the time of year, weather conditions, and other ongoing lawn care treatments.

If your lawn is looking a little listless, worn, or you notice it gets waterlogged after heavy rain, then you should definitely consider an aeration service. Even if your grass looks okay on the surface, aeration will still help to significantly boost the health of your lawn.

With ongoing lawn care, our experts will be able to assess each visit if aeration is needed, and apply the service annually to keep your grass in tip-top condition.

Have you noticed bare patches on your lawn, or areas of uneven growth? These are signs that your lawn is due for overseeding.

If puddles linger on your lawn or certain spots stay wet long after the rain has passed, it’s a sign your lawn isn’t draining properly. Down flow improves how water moves through the soil, helping your lawn dry faster and feel firmer underfoot.

If your lawn looks uneven or has areas of thin, patchy growth, top dressing could be the answer. It gives your lawn the support it needs to grow evenly and is an easy way to turn a lacklustre lawn into one you want to spend time on.

Aqua boost is applied in the early and late seasons, giving your lawn up to three months of steady, long lasting hydration. Aqua boost+ is used during the drier months, delivering immediate moisture deep into the soil when your lawn needs it most.

Your lawn care expert will recommend the ideal schedule based on your lawn’s condition and the weather, so it always gets the right treatment at the right time.

To see the best results, we include winter care as part of our year round lawn care packages. This ensures your lawn gets the consistent care, nutrients and protection it needs to stay healthy in every season.

With a convenient ongoing lawn care package, our experts will treat your driveway at the most suitable time of year alongside our other lawn and hard surface treatments, saving you both time and stress.

Many common lawn diseases are more active in the cooler, wetter months of autumn, so this is the time to be especially watchful. And if you’re on an ongoing lawn care plan, your expert will monitor the lawn for you and treat any issues before they spread.

As often as needed! Green bio boost is gentle on your lawn but gives strong, visible results every time. It’s ideal when your lawn is struggling after pests, disease, heat or drought, or when you simply want it looking great for a special occasion.

Chafer grubs and leatherjackets each have key periods when treatment is most effective.

  • Chafer grubs: June–July
  • Leatherjackets: September–October

These are the two most common lawn pests in the UK and are the ones we specialise in treating.

The good news is, if you have an ongoing lawn care package, our experts can spot the signs of an infestation early and treat it at the right time, long before the damage becomes severe.

Intensive moss and thatch control, technically known as scarification, is a high impact treatment for when you’re dealing with a build up of harmful organic matter on your lawn. It should be done annually, or as required, to give your lawn the foundations to flourish year-round.

It’s also important to keep on top of moss and thatch control with regular maintenance, which you can get with our convenient ongoing lawn care packages.

To keep your lawn healthy, it’s important to stay on top of moss and thatch. We recommend at least one annual treatment to keep your lawn in good condition.

Moss and thatch control is included within selected lawn care packages, with treatments scheduled automatically by our experts so it’s one less thing for you to worry about.

Slow grow is typically applied between May to September to help manage summer growth. It’s a great option if you’re planning a holiday or want to reduce how often your lawn needs mowing.

We usually recommend applying down flow every 4–6 weeks in wetter months. If your lawn regularly pools with water or takes days to dry after rain, starting with more frequent treatments can speed up results and get your lawn draining properly again.

Most lawns benefit from an annual top dressing service to keep your soil in good condition and support strong growth. It can be applied as a standalone treatment or combined with other services for even better results.

Our spring lawn treatment is part of our regular lawn care programme. Your local expert will carry out the treatment at the ideal time for your lawn.

Two treatments are provided, one in early summer and one in late summer, to keep your lawn looking its best throughout the season. Regular mowing and watering in between will help maintain the results.

An annual autumn treatment is ideal. It strengthens your lawn before winter and sets it up to come back greener, thicker and in great condition next spring.

We recommend that all lawns have the early summer lawn treatment each year, and for the lushest lawns, we also recommend having an annual late summer treatment.

The professional products we use have been specially designed to be safe for adults, children and pets. Typically, you should wait 1 hour after treatment before using your lawn again and you should keep grazing animals such as rabbits away from the grass for up to 10 days.

Our specialised treatments can renovate and repair almost any lawn. No matter what condition your lawn is in, our experts will be able to advise you on the best course of action and can help put a plan in place to get you your dream lawn.

If you’re unsure, give your local Greensleeves expert a call. We’ll carry out a full inspection, confirm what’s going on, and recommend the right treatment to stop lawn disease in its tracks.

Your renovation begins with a detailed inspection from our experts, allowing them to understand what your lawn needs and plan the perfect treatment approach. The full renovation process usually includes:

  1. Lawn inspection
A thorough assessment to identify issues such as moss, thatch, compaction and thinning growth.
  2. Moss & thatch control
Removing the problem layers or organic matter that stop your lawn from growing properly.
  3. Aeration
Opening up the soil to improve airflow, drainage and root development.
  4. Reseeding
Adding new, healthy seed to thicken the lawn and fill in bare patches.
  5. Top dressing
Applying a fine layer of organic material to improve soil structure, support new growth and create a smoother, more even surface.

While each of these treatments can be carried out individually as part of your regular lawn care, a full renovation is often the best option when your lawn needs a complete reset before starting an ongoing care plan.

Aqua boost and aqua boost+ do far more than simply water your lawn. These advanced formulas improve how your soil absorbs and holds moisture, preventing dry patches, strengthening your grass and supporting long term lawn health.

Aqua boost provides slow release hydration in the early and late seasons, helping moisture reach deep into the roots before hot weather arrives. Aqua boost+ delivers fast, deep hydration during dry spells, ensuring your lawn stays green, resilient and evenly hydrated when it needs it most.

No one wants lawn disease taking over. Left untreated, it can spread fast and leave patches so damaged they’re difficult or sometimes impossible to repair! Acting quickly with a disease control treatment stops the disease in its tracks, protects healthy grass and prevents the problem from spreading.

With ongoing lawn care, your Greensleeves expert can spot the early signs of lawn disease. They’ll diagnose the issue, treat it effectively and put preventative steps in place to stop it returning, saving you time, stress and the cost of major lawn restoration later.

Down flow improves how your lawn absorbs water, helping excess rain drain away instead of pooling on the surface. This means fewer puddles, less mud and a lawn that dries faster and feels firmer, so it’s ready to enjoy, even in the wetter months.

A clean, tidy driveway instantly lifts the look of your home. Our treatments clear away weeds, moss and stains so your entire home looks well kept and cared for.

It also helps prevent slips and trip hazards by tackling the growth and build up that make driveways uneven or slippery.

Hollow tine aeration is a crucial process to boost the overall health of your lawn, resulting in a lush, thick, and beautifully green appearance. It achieves this by improving soil drainage, clearing away debris like moss and excess thatch, and allowing better access to essential elements such as oxygen, water, and nutrients for the grass roots. Hollow tine aeration will also make your lawn more resilient to heavy foot traffic, harsh weather conditions and disease, so the whole family can enjoy your lawn for longer.

If you’re dreaming of a resilient, vibrant, and verdant lawn, hollow tine aeration is essential.

Insect larvae and grubs don’t just look unpleasant, they feed on your lawn’s roots, causing thin, brown patches and in severe cases killing off your lawn. Our insect control treatment removes the pests quickly and safely, stopping the damage before it spreads and helping your lawn stay thick, green and healthy.

A bonus benefit? Once the grubs are gone, wildlife like badgers, foxes and birds stop digging for them. That means fewer holes, less mess, and a lawn that stays neat, tidy and looking its best.

Removing moss and thatch from lawns has many benefits. It helps your grass flourish by letting more sunlight and nutrients reach the soil. It also clears more space for grass to grow, improves air circulation, and prevents diseases. Plus, it makes the lawn look healthier and more resilient to drought and pests.

Intensive moss and thatch removal, technically known as scarification, along with continued maintenance is an essential step to getting a lush, green lawn.

Aeration will improve the overall health of your lawn, helping to keep it thick, green, and looking beautiful. It does this by improving the drainage of your lawn, removing debris such as moss and thatch, and allowing more oxygen, water, and nutrients to get to the grass roots.

If you want your lawn to be strong, luscious, and green, then aeration service is a must-have.

Ongoing moss and thatch control helps your lawn stay greener, stronger and easier to maintain. It also helps prevent weeds and disease, improves how your lawn drains after rain, and stops that spongy feeling underfoot, leaving you with a lawn that looks great, feels firmer and is more enjoyable for the whole family.

Overseeding will dramatically improve the look of your lawn by filling in bare or thin patches and creating an even layer of thick, healthy grass. Not only does this make your lawn look great, it also makes it more resilient to weeds, wear, disease and drought.

If you want a lawn that’s thicker, healthier and greener, overseeding gives your grass the head start it needs to thrive.

Slow grow reduces how quickly your grass grows, meaning fewer cuts are needed and your lawn stays looking freshly cut for longer. It also boosts colour and thickness, giving your lawn a healthier, more vibrant appearance.

It’s especially useful if you’re heading away on holiday, juggling a busy schedule, or have awkward areas in the garden that are difficult to mow regularly.

Top dressing boosts your soils health and helps water spread evenly, leading to fuller, greener growth across your lawn. It gives you a smoother, healthier garden that’s more enjoyable for family time, relaxing and everyday use.

Lawn disease is largely driven by the weather, particularly in shaded areas and during prolonged periods of damp. While it can’t always be prevented, one of the simplest ways to reduce the risk is to keep your lawn clear of leaves, grass clippings and fallen fruit as much as possible.

With an ongoing lawn care package, your local expert will also be able to advise you on simple steps you can take between visits. They’ll put a preventative plan in place too, helping stop disease before it takes hold.

After a full assessment of your lawn, our experts will apply our bespoke, eco-friendly seed blend. We then use professional equipment to spread the seed across your lawn, ensuring a full and even coverage.

Our specialist treatment quickly removes the infestation and protects your lawn from serious damage and once the product has dried, it’s completely safe for families and pets, giving you total peace of mind while keeping your garden looking its best.

We’ll start by checking your lawn to find the problem areas. Each repair is tailored to your lawn, but will usually include a combination of aeration, moss and thatch control, reseeding and top dressing. The results? Healthier, stronger growth in the areas that need it most.

While our late summer treatment gives your lawn the nutrients and TLC it needs, it’s vital that you continue to regularly mow and water your lawn to keep it healthy in between our visits. This is especially important during the hot summer months when just a few days without water could leave your lawn looking worse for wear! We recommend watering your lawn heavily once or twice a week at this time of year, rather than little-and-often, and if you have any questions about caring for your lawn then our experts will happily give you all the advice you need.

Regular mowing and deep watering make the biggest difference. In hot weather, watering heavily once or twice a week helps prevent your lawn from drying out or turning patchy.

You can also add additional services to your seasonal treatment, such as lawn hydration and lawn aeration (spiking) to keep your lawn strong and looking its best all season. If you’re unsure how to care for your lawn between visits, our lawn care experts can guide you.

During the aeration service, our experts will create tiny holes across your lawn. These holes will be unnoticeable when looking at or using your lawn, but they essentially give your grass more space to breathe and flourish.

Any soil and debris that our team removes will be swept away and taken care of, so your lawn will be ready for you to begin using again as soon as the service is finished.

Hollow tine aeration removes small plugs of soil evenly across your lawn, leaving tiny holes for oxygen, water and nutrients to get to the grass roots. These holes will be virtually unnoticeable when looking at or using your lawn, but you’ll certainly notice the benefits when your beautifully green grass starts to grow.

Our team will sweep up and remove any soil plugs or debris after your hollow tine aeration, so your lawn will be left tidy and ready to use.

Our lawn care experts apply green bio boost evenly across the surface of your lawn. The treatment gets to work quickly and within just a few days you’ll notice a richer green colour and stronger, healthier growth.

Our late summer treatment focuses on keeping your lawn green, avoiding scorching, and keeping your lawn healthy despite the summer heat. We achieve this by applying nitrogen-rich fertiliser which is packed with all the nutrients your lawn needs, alongside effective weed control.

Aqua boost is applied every 3 months and provides slow-release hydration in the early and late seasons, helping moisture reach deep into the roots before hot weather arrives.

Aqua boost+ can be applied monthly and delivers fast, deep hydration during dry spells, keeping your lawn green, resilient and evenly hydrated when it needs it most.

Weeds tend to pop up around the edges of your paths or patios or in small gaps, like cracks, joins and between slabs or tiles. Keeping an eye on these spots means you can deal with weeds early, before they spread and start causing damage.

We recommend that all lawns have a one-off late summer treatment, as it gives your lawn the boost it needs to keep it healthy for the rest of the season. However, in addition to our late summer treatment, we recommend regular lawn maintenance and watering to keep your lawn looking its best.
